Άκοβα – Κεφαλάρι

Στο σημείο όπου ενώνονται οι ράχες της Λάρισας και της Ασπίδας, ξεκινά δεξιά ένας δρόμος που οδηγεί προς την Άκοβα και την Χούνη. Πρόκειται για μια ακόμα ασφάλτινη διαδρομή χωρίς όμως ιδιαίτερη κίνηση από αυτοκίνητα.

Με το που θα στρέψει κανείς από το διάσελο προς Άκοβα, θα πρέπει να πάρει βαθιές ανάσες αφού μπροστά του θα έχει να αντιμετωπίσει μια μικρή ανηφοριά με μεγάλη όμως κλίση.

Αυτό είναι το πιο δύσκολο σημείο όλης της διαδρομής. Μένοντας στο αριστερό μέρος του δρόμου φτάνετε σε μια διασταύρωση όπου ο δρόμος ευθεία οδηγεί στην Χούνη και στο λημέρι των αγωνιστών του 1821, σκαλισμένο στην κυριολεξία πάνω στον απότομο βράχο.

Walking tour at the area of Didima

Didima which means twins in Greek is a village of the municipality of Hermione at the prefecture of Argolis. The village is built in the basin of the foothills of the same name mountain (Didima) and it’s distance from Nafplio is 75 km away approx. 1h driving.

Sightseeing of the village is the geological forms with the shape of crater which are dolines The doline is cavernous pit in the surface of the earth without a roof.

There are two caves in the Didima. To the smallest one you step down through stoa which is dug in the ground.Through a rich vegetation of oaks and pines there are two churches St. George (1200 AD) on the southern side and the Transfiguration of the Lord on the north side.
At the biggest one they have fount human traces from the Neolithic era 4000 BC.

During the spring every year is being held the tulip festival which is very rare to find spontaneous tulip all over the Greece.

Swim in the beautiful SaladI beach located just 5 km from the village of Didima and is considered as one of the greatest beaches in Ermioni Municipality.


Cruises from Tolo

Cruises office in Tolo offers leisure mini-cruises to the picturesque Saronic islands of Spetses, Hydra and Poros and the enchanting historic castle-town of Monemvasia. The programme was varied and fun-filled with barbecues, picnics and cruises to Hydra and Spetses, thus began the tradition of day cruises in the Argos-Nafplio-Tolo area. The cruise programme runs from late March to late October. In addition to the ever-popular day cruises to Monemvasia and the islands Hydra, Poros and Spetses, the boats offer a variety of special cruises such as picnics, barbecues and evening cruises. The boats are also available for charter, for group cruises and for private parties, receptions and celebrations.

Useful Tips:

It is worth visiting Spetses in celebration of Armada, a particularly impressive celebration that takes place in the port of Spetses every year on the second Saturday of September.

And Hydra in Miaoulia, the great celebration held every year on the last week of June, which is closer to 21 June.
